The Choir at St. Macartin's Cathedral preparing for the Carol Service.
A special Community Carol Service is being held at St Macartin's Cathedral, Enniskillen, on Friday 11th December at 7.00pm.
Supported by The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales in association with the Fermanagh Lieutenancy, the service forms part of an annual tradition held in a different location across Northern Ireland each year. This year, it is Fermanagh's turn to host the regional celebration.
The service will celebrate the many individuals, volunteers and organisations whose acts of service, kindness and compassion make a difference in the lives of others and help strengthen the bonds that connect communities across our county. Bringing people together from different churches, traditions and backgrounds, the event reflects the shared values that unite us, particularly at Christmas.
The evening will feature traditional Christmas carols, seasonal readings and performances from talented local musicians and groups, alongside a few festive Fermanagh touches.
Dean Kenny Hall said; 'At Christmas we are reminded of the importance of community and of caring for one another. This special service is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate those whose generosity, compassion and service enrich the lives of others throughout the year. Through their kindness and dedication, they help strengthen the bonds that connect communities across our county. We look forward to welcoming people from right across Fermanagh for an evening of music, reflection and celebration.'
Admission is free and everyone is warmly welcome. As seating is limited, those wishing to attend are encouraged to arrive early.
The service will be followed by seasonal refreshments in the Cathedral Hall, with everyone invited to stay afterwards and enjoy some festive hospitality in the Cathedral Hall.
