July 2018

Sunday 22nd July – Commissioning Service in Inishmacsaint Parish Church at 10.30am of Harry Anderson, as a Diocesan Reader and Joe McAlpine(Parish of Maguiresbridge) and Linda Brunt(Parish of Kilskeery and Trillick) as Parish Readers by the Bishop of Clogher, Right Revd. John McDowell.

Thursday 26th July – Lunchtime Healing Service in the Iona Room, St. Macartin's Cathedral Hall, Enniskillen from 1pm - 1.35pm led by Miss Lucy Woods.

Friday 27th July – Carrickmacross Union Magheracloone and Ardragh summer barbecue returns in the Rectory grounds. Last year was a great success so we look forward to another opportunity for parishioners and friends of the parish to come together for great food and even better company. All proceeds from the evening will go towards our forthcoming parish mission trip of which details will emerge over the coming months. The barbecue is a ticketed event and tickets will be available from Revd Colin or any of our churchwardens.

August 2018

Wednesday 1st - Friday 3rd August 2018 – Holiday Bible Club in Colaghty Parish Hall.

Saturday 11th August – Mothers' Union Coffee Morning to celebrate Mary Sumner's Day(9th August) in St. Macartin's Cathedral Hall, Enniskillen from 10am - 12 noon.

Saturday 11th August – Coffee Morning hosted by Clogher Diocesan Mothers' Union to celebrate Mary Sumner Day in the Cathedral Hall, Enniskillen between 10am - 12 Noon. All proceeds in aid of Mums in May.

Sunday 12th August – St Molua's Day Service in Magheracloone Church at 3pm. Preacher: Revd Ian Horner.

Monday 13th - Friday 17th August 2018 – Aghadrumsee Holiday Bible Club will run daily from 10.30 am to 12 noon in Aghadrumsee Old School. We are grateful as usual to Jonathan Graham and helpers from Child Evangelism Fellowship.

Friday 17th August – Kilskeery Parish Barbecue fundraising event at Kilskeery Hall from 7.30pm onwards.Music to follow. Tickets will be available from members of the Select Vestry.

Saturday 18th August – Ardess Parish Garden Fete from 11.00am to 4.00pm in the rectory lawn at 47 Main Street, Kesh. We will have something for all the family (face-painting, crafts for sale, cake sale, afternoon tea and even a challenge for all the men, a real digger for the big boys to play on and compete with each other!).

Saturday 18th August – Rockcorry Annual Charity Barbecue will take place this year at Rockcorry National School on 18th August. (More details to follow).

Friday 24th August – Aghavea Parish Barbecue and Dance at 8pm, Music by Bracken Strings. Tickets available from vestry members. Proceeds in aid of Church Building Fund.

Friday 31st August – Restored from Failure: at 8.00pm in Ardess Parish Centre. How do we overcome failure in our lives? Michael Lonergan will be coming to speak to us on this topic.

Friday 31st August – Service of Institution of the Revd Roy Taylor as Rector of the Grouped Parishes of Clones, Killeevan, Currin and Newbliss. The Service will take place at 7.30pm in Killeevan Parish Church. Preacher: The Bishop of Clogher, Right Revd John McDowell.

September 2018

Sunday 2nd September – Diocesan Commissioning Service for Sunday School teachers and those involved in children's ministry organised by Clogher Diocesan Board of Religious Education in St. Patrick's Church, Monaghan. Keep evening free. More details later.

Tuesday 4th September – Board of Education Committee Meeting at 10am.

Tuesday 4th September – Glebes Committee Meeting at 11am

Tuesday 4th September – Diocesan Council Meeting at 2pm.

Friday 7th September – Midnight Walk with proceeds for Clabby Rectory Fund. Details later.

Sunday 9th September – Morning service featuring Bird of Paradise Ministries in Rwanda in St. Macartin's Cathedral, Enniskillen at 11am. The speaker will be Revd Jerome, former rector of Killyleagh Parish and former Canon of St. Anne's Cathedral who with his wife, Mary, returned to their native Kigali, Rwanda, in 2011 to further the work of the Bird of Paradise Ministries, a charity they founded in 2010. The charity is a Christian, non-profit organisation which is committed to provide the basic needs of shelter and care to the elderly of Rwanda.

Thursday 13th September – Restoration Through Friendship n St. Macartin's Cathedral Hall, Enniskillen at 7.30pm with speaker, Revd Ruth Patterson, a Minister in the Presbyterian Church.

Friday 14th - Saturday 15th September 2018 – Re-dedication of Ardess Parish Church Weekend with Service of Thanksgiving and Re-dedication of the church on Friday, 14th September at 7.30pm following the ex-tensive repairs externally and internally over the last two years.

Friday 14th September – Friends of Slavin Evening in Slavin Parish Church, Belleek at 8pm. The Friends of Slavin Evening is combined with Harvest Thanksgiving. Special music and a Harvest Supper will be served.

Saturday 15th September – Fun for the Family(Teddy Bear Picnic and Teddy Zip line) at Ardess Parish Church from 12.00 noon to 4.00pm. An afternoon for fun for the family at the church with a Teddy bear picnic and a zip line to give your teddy a trip from the top of the church down into the graveyard.

Saturday 15th September – Visits to Kiltierney Abbey, Deerpark, Kesh during the afternoon of 15th September in the middle of the Deer park, for those who would like to visit it (kindly granted by Mr Noel Graham). There will be guided tours of the Abbey remains and the graveyard. There will also be a barbecue on site for everyone.

Saturday 15th September – Morning Worship featuring St. John's Ambulance Service in St. Macartin's Cathedral, Enniskillen at 1.00am attended by The Lord Prior, Sir Malcolm Ross along with Her Majesty's representative for Co Fermanagh, The Viscount Brookeborough KG.

Saturday 15th September – Auction in Mullaghdun Church Hall, Letterbreen.

Monday 17th September – St.Macartin's Cathedral Parish Boat Trip around Enniskillen beginning at 5pm.

Thursday 20th September – Listen Up with Revd Pat Mollan Churches Ministry of Healing in the Hilliard Room, Cathedral Hall, Enniskillen. An evening of teaching and practical help and advice on the ministry of listening. Open to clergy and DPAs.

Sunday 23rd September – Back To Church Sunday and Bell Ringers Service in St. Macartin's Cathedral, Enniskillen at 11am with dedication of new stained glass window.

Thursday 27th September – Diocesan Synod at 5.30pm commencing with a Service of Holy Communion in St Macartin's Cathedral, Enniskillen followed by Synod in the Cathedral Hall.

Thursday 27th September – Lunchtime Healing Service in the Iona Room, St. Macartin's Cathedral Hall, Enniskillen from 1pm - 1.35pm led by Archdeacon Brian Harper.

Friday 28th September – Colebrooke Parish Church Harvest Concert featuring Dromore & District Male Voice Choir at 8pm in Colebrooke Church. Tickets £10.

October 2018

Saturday 20th October – Magheraculmoney Parish Auction - As the summer draws to an end and you are thinking of tidying up around the house inside and out do think about what you can give to the auction. We are also looking for any pledges you may be able to make that can be auctioned off. The auction will start at 12 noon.

Tuesday 23rd - Thursday 25th October 2018 – Clergy Conference in Arnold's Hotel, Dunfanaghy, Co. Donegal.

Thursday 8th November – The 34th Annual Variety Concert will be held in the Youth Hall, Tullyhommon (kindly granted) at 8pm. Compere for the evening will be Ian Coalter and the guest artist will be Curtis Magee with various other artists performing.

Friday 9th - Sunday 11th November 2018 – WW1 Remembrance Weekend when North Fermanagh Remembers will hold a weekend of events to include exhibition, talks, music and a closing act of worship, to remember the end of the Great War (1914 - 1918). The weekend will take place in Ardess Parish Church and Parish Centre and will gather all within the catchment area of North Fermanagh to remember those who fell in the Great War from the locality. Please plan to come along to this weekend. More details will follow.

Thursday 15th November – Clogher Clerical Association in St. Patrick's Parish Church, Monaghan, commencing with a Service of Holy Communion at 11.30am followed by tea/coffee. Speaker: The Bishop.

Sunday 18th November – Clogher Diocesan BIG SING in St Macartin's Cathedral, Enniskillen at 7pm. Email your favourite hymn to bigsing@clogher.anglican.org or submit it in writing to the Diocesan Office. A selection of favourite hymns from people across the diocese will be included in the selection of hymns at the event.

Sunday 25th November – A Commemoration of the End of the First World War Service in Lisbellaw Parish Church at 7pm. Speaker: The Bishop of Clogher, the Right Revd John McDowell.

Thursday 6th December – Clogher Clerical Association AGM and Christmas Lunch in St. Macartan's Cathedral, Clogher, commencing with a Service of Holy Communion at 11.30am followed by AGM and Christmas Lunch in Corick House Hotel, Clogher.

Thursday 6th December – Diocesan Spirituality Event for Clergy, Diocesan and Parish Readers and Diocesan Pastoral Assistants at 7.30pm in the Parish Hall of St. John's, Fivemiletown. Speaker: Breige O'Hare, who is experienced in leading quiet prayer and reflection on Scripture.

Sunday 9th December – Annual Praise and Gift Service in Killeevan Parish Church, Clones, Co Monaghan at 3.00pm
