March 2024

Friday 1st March – World Day of Prayer Service in Christ Church, Maguiresbridge at 7.30pm. Please come along and support. Refreshments will follow the service.

Monday 4th March – Monday Walk & Talk from 10.00 am - 12 noon at Ballinamallard Utd Football Club hosted by Magheracross. This is an organised walk, where people of the community will gather, walk and talk together followed by a wholesome cup of tea/coffee to warm up the hands. Roughly lasts an hour.

Tuesday 5th March – Kesh Rural Deanery Talk on Life after Lockdown at 7.30pm in Derryvullen North Parish Hall, Irvinestown. Open to anyone.

Friday 8th March – Tempo Parish Variety Concert Tempo Church Hall at 8pm featuring Brookeborough Flute Band, Derryclavin Pipe Band, Lisbellaw Primary School Choir and Alastair Scott Ceilidh Band. Admission 10 to parish funds.

Friday 15th March – St. Patrick's Weekend Fun Night hosted by Trory and Killadeas Parishes in Ballycassidy Hall. This year the theme will be on Ulster heritage of St. Patrick, with food for the evening being an Ulster Fry and entertainment will be Ulster Scots themed too.

Friday 15th March – Annual St. Patrick's Stew Night in Aghavea Parish Hall. More details will be announced in next month's magazine and will be advertised on our Facebook page, Aghavea Church,

Friday 15th March – St Patrick's Party Night hosted by Aghabog Parish with musical items, supper etc. for the Ematris Group of Parishes and friends in Aghabog Parish Hall at 8pm. All are welcome.

Monday 18th March – St Patrick's Walk, a community pilgrimage walk on Bank Holiday Monday starting at 11am from St.Salvator's Church, Glaslough to Glennan Presbyterian Church and St. Mary's Church concluding with a lunch of homemade soup and bread in Donagh Parochial Hall on Main Street, Glaslough. Donations for The Arch Club and Donagh Girls' Brigade. Everyone welcome.

Sunday 24th March – Palm Sunday Procession at 10.40am to Lisbellaw Parish Church for service of Morning Prayer at 11am.

Friday 29th March – Good Friday Walk with the Cross by Revd William Jeffrey, Rector of Lisbellaw with Coolbuck, at 11.30am starting from Lisbellaw Rectory to the Parish Church followed at 12 noon by 'Three Hours.'

Sunday 31st March – Easter Day Dawn Service led by Revd Stephen McWhirter of Rossorry Parish Church at 6am at Old Rossorry, Enniskillen.

Sunday 31st March – Easter Day Dawn Holy Communion Service on the shores of Lower Lough Erne hosted by the Priory Church, Killadeas, on the loughshore behind the church at 6.30am. This service is followed with bacon baps, coffee and fellowship in Killadeas Hall.

Sunday 31st March – Easter Day Dawn Service of Holy Communion at Coolbuck Chapel of Ease at 6.30am led by Rector, Revd. William Jeffrey.

April 2024

Saturday 6th April – Galloon Parish Auction at 12 noon in The Church Hall, High Street, Newtownbutler. A wide selection of items include antique furniture, delph, clocks, other furniture, linen, bed-linen, hand tools, household items, bathroom fittings, collectables, mirrors, pictures and boxed lots ideal for car-booters or traders. This is an auction with something for everyone and should not to be missed. Refreshments will be on sale. Viewing on the morning of the auction from 11am.

Saturday 6th April – Seven Towers Male Voice Choir in concert at 8.00pm in Holy Trinity Church, Dromore. A special event not to be missed!

Sunday 14th April – 120th Anniversary Service of St. Macartan's Cathedral Clogher Mothers' Union at 3.30pm in St. Macartan's Cathedral, Clogher with special music featuring the RUC Women's Choir and Murley Silver Band. Afternoon tea in the Cathedral Hall, Clogher following the service.

Friday 26th April – Table Quiz in Belle Isle hall with proceeds in aid of Derrybrusk Church! Everyone welcome!

Sunday 28th April – 50th Anniversary Service in memory of late TD and Senator Billy Fox at 3pm in Christ Church, Aughnamullen. This will be a cross community event and all are welcome.

May 2024

Friday 10th - Saturday 11th May 2024 – 2024 General Synod will be held in Armagh with the third day's business to be conducted remotely on the evening of Tuesday 14th May and the evening of Thursday 16th May (if required).

December 2024

Friday 6th - Sunday 8th December 2024 – Christmas Tree Festival in Cooneen Parish Church celebrating their 150 year anniversary. Viewing will begin on the Friday and the weekend will conclude with a Carol Service on the Sunday. More information will follow.
