December 2024

Sunday 1st December – Advent Carol Service in Mullaghfad Church at 3.00pm weather permitting. As in previous years, the collection taken at this service will be in aid of one of our local charities. Everyone is most welcome.

Monday 2nd December – County Monaghan Church of Ireland Children's Society Annual General Meeting in Ballybay Church Hall at 3.00pm. Refreshments will be served after the meeting. Please do come along if you would like to know more about our work.

Tuesday 3rd December – Book: 'Enniskillen Royal School and its Tenant Farmers in the Nineteenth Century - Worlds Apart' by Sam Morrow, will be launched at Enniskillen Royal Grammar School's Portora site at 7.30pm.

Wednesday 4th December – Christmas Flower Demonstration by 'Budz' florist (Castleblayney) will be held in Clontibret Parish Hall at 8 p.m. Tickets cost ?10 and can be obtained from any member of Clontibret Parish.

Thursday 5th December – Annual Community Carol Service at 7pm in St. Macartan's Cathedral, Clogher. Proceeds in aid of Cancer Focus. All welcome.

Friday 6th - Sunday 8th December 2024 – Christmas Tree Festival in Cooneen Parish Church celebrating their 150 year anniversary. Viewing of 'Follow The Star' Christmas Tree Festival will begin on the Friday from 10am to 9pm, on Saturday from 10am to 9pm and on Sunday from 2pm to 7pm closing with a Carol Service at 7.30pm. A Santa's Grotto will be open on Saturday from 12 noon to 6pm and during the Festival there will be live music from musicians and choirs. Refreshments served in the adjacent church hall.

Friday 6th December – A Night of Carols at 8pm in Drum Church featuring Lisnaskea Silver Band and Cantari Donagh choir followed by festive supper. Everybody is welcome.

Friday 6th December – Monaghan Collegiate Sale in St Patrick's Church Hall, Monaghan from 10am to 2pm. There will be the usual stalls with tea and coffee available. Please come along and bring your friends.

Saturday 7th December – Annual Winter Sale in Rockcorry School from 11am-2 pm and will follow the pattern of former years; sale of timber, car wash, cake stall and teas. The school children will also be having their own stall and Santa is already gearing up for the big occasion! Admission free.

Saturday 7th December – Coffee Morning and Christmas Craft Fair in Tempo Church Hall for Tempo Accordion Band from 10am- 1pm.

Sunday 8th December – Diocesan Youth Council 'Adventure Youth Night in St Macartin's Cathedral Hall Enniskillen at 7pm. All secondary age young people very welcome!

Tuesday 10th December – Enniskillen Cathedral Choir Christmas Concert at 8.00pm in St Macartin's Cathedral. All are welcome.

Friday 13th December – Classics by Cantilena in Aghadrumsee Church at 8.00pm.

Saturday 14th December – Clones St. Tighernach`s Christmas Fayre in the Creighton Hotel, Clones, from 10.00am-12.30pm. Handmade decorative wreaths, cakes, hot cups of tea/coffee, and many other treats will be provided. Everyone is warmly welcome. All proceeds for St Tighernach's parish funds.

Saturday 14th December – Maguiresbridge Parish Auction in the Parish Hall from 12 noon. Homemade Cakes, Firewood, Household items and much more. Everyone welcome.

Tuesday 17th December – Lisbellaw Rector's Black Santa Sit-Out for 12 hours at Lisbellaw Parish Church from 6.30am to 6.30pm raising funds for Woman's Aid Fermanagh and the Parish Church.

Wednesday 18th December – Black Santa Sit-out at Magheracross Parish Church, Ballinamallard by Revd Lorraine Capper 8am to 8pm. The year the charities that will benefit are: Alzheimer's Society Northern Ireland and Children's Heartbeat Trust in Belfast. Revd Lorraine has invited the Revd John Beacom, the local Methodist minister, to join her in the Sit-out.

Thursday 19th December – Dean of Clogher's Sit Out for Charity outside St. Macartin's Cathedral, Enniskillen from 9.00am to 9.00pm for charities including; Bishops' Appeal; Air Ambulance NI and St. Macartin's Outreach Fund.

Friday 20th December – Kilmore Candlelight Carol Service, Monaghan at 7.30 pm with harpist, Kiera McCabe and vocalists, The Lawlor Family. Kilmore church will also be open and available to view the beautiful Christmas decorations on Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th from 11am - 2pm. Tea and coffee served and everyone welcome.

Saturday 21st December – Floral Carol Service in Mullaghdun Parish Church Letterbreen with flower displays by Caroline Little based on popular Christmas Carols. The church will be open during the day to view the displays and special guests, The Silvertones will be singing at the Carol Service that evening. More details later.

Sunday 22nd December – Special service of Carols by Candelight in Kiltyclogher church at 7pm with guest singer, Lauren Kells, a superb soprano who will bring her own blend of Christmas music. Also to include special pieces from Kiltyclogher Church choir and musicians. Seasonal refreshments to follow.

Sunday 22nd December – A Special service of Carols by Candelight in Kiltyclogher Church at 7pm will be a night to remember with guest singer, Lauren Kells, a superb soprano who will bring her own blend of Christmas music. There will also be special pieces from the choir enhanced with musicians. Seasonal refreshments to follow.

Monday 30th December - Friday 3rd January 2025 – Clogh Bowling Club Annual Pairs Tournament in Clogh Hall with the finals on 9th January.

Friday 10th January – The Epiphany Lecture 2025 in Rossorry Parish Church at 7.30pm by a staff member of the National Trust from Florencecourt on the importance and involvement in conservation works within the house and within the National Trust. Do please come along and join us.

Monday 13th January - Saturday 8th February 2025 – The Longest Yarn exhibition opens in St Macartin's Cathedral, Enniskillen, the only venue in Ireland. The Longest Yarn is a three-dimensional wool tapestry, knitted and crocheted by hundreds of volunteers worldwide. Created with guidance from historians, retained by the project, to be historically accurate, each scene has been selected by the creator to depict the D-Day Landings 80 years ago, measuring 80 metres (265 feet) and represents the 80 years and 80 days since D-Day and the 80 days it took for the Allies to liberate Paris. The Longest Yarn tells the momentous story of June 6, from the build-up and launch in England through the Normandy invasion. It started in Normandy and is now travelling through cathedrals in England.

Friday 24th January – Table Quiz St. Mark's Parish Hall, Augher at 8pm. £5 per person (concession for children), maximum of six people per table. All proceeds towards the refurbishment of the Church East window.

Thursday 13th February – Table Quiz in Tempo Parish Church Hall at 8pm. Everyone Welcome.

Saturday 22nd February – Vintage Bike Display and Run at Clabby Church Hall from 10.00am. Leave at 11.30am to ride to Fivemiletown. For further details contact Jim Monteith 07751803660. All proceeds to Clabby 155 Celebration Church Funds.

Sunday 2nd - Sunday 9th March 2025 – St. John's Parish Church Fivemiletown Bible Week part of the activities to mark the Parish Halls Anniversary. Guest Bible teachers who work with young people or adults have been invited to encourage us from the scriptures across a series of events.

Friday 21st March – Tempo Variety Concert at 8pm in Tempo Church Hall. More details to follow.

Friday 28th March – Clabby Table Quiz at 8pm in Clabby Church Hall. Table of up to eight people £5 per person. Families, groups, organisations all very welcome. Part of Clabby 155 Celebrations with proceeds towards Church Funds.

April 2025

Saturday 12th April – Easter Egg Hunt organised by St. Mark's Churdch, Augher. All proceeds towards the refurbishment of the Church East window.

May 2025

Friday 9th - Saturday 10th May 2025 – General Synod of the Church of Ireland in 2025 will take place in Lawlor's Hotel, Naas, Co. Kildare with remote sessions on Tuesday 13th May and Thursday 15th May (if a second remote session is required).

Friday 30th May - Sunday 1st June 2025 – B.E.A.R.S Teddy Bear Festival organised by Magheracross Parish Church; Bible Events And Remarkable Stories. For more details contact Valerie; 07773696768

June 2025

Sunday 29th June – Service of Divine Healing in Garrison Parish Church at 7.00pm with members of Clogher Diocesan Ministry of Healing. Everyone is very welcome at this service where there will be an opportunity for the Laying on of Hands for yourself, or someone else. Following the service we will share fellowship over tea and refreshments. Thank you to Revd Rebecca Guildea and members of her parish group for hosting us on this occasion.

September 2025

Sunday 7th September – Clabby Parish Church 155th Anniversary Service on the date of the original opening, at 3pm with The Bishop as preacher. Any former parishioners or people with connections to the Parish are invited to the service especially or any of the events.
